Founds AS handles as little personal data as possible. This is a short overview of what we collect and why.
THE CONTACT FORM AND EMAIL
When you send the contact form or write to us, we keep your name, email address, phone number if you give it, company name if you give it, the region you have chosen on the site, and your message. We use them only to answer you and to follow up if you ask us to help.
THE FUNDING CALCULATOR
The calculator runs in your browser, and your answers are not sent anywhere while you use it. Only when you choose to book a review do we receive your answers, the result you saw, the region you have chosen and your contact details: name, email, phone number if you give it, company name and any message you write.
WHY, AND FOR HOW LONG
We process this to answer your request and to take steps you ask for before any agreement (GDPR article 6(1)(b)). Messages and review requests are kept in our internal system for at most 12 months, and anything that looks like spam is deleted after 30 days. If you become a client, we keep information about your company, not your personal contact details from the form.
WHO ELSE HANDLES IT
Our internal system runs on Cloudflare, with its database in the EU. When a message arrives we get an email about it through Resend, an email delivery service. Both act only on our instructions. We do not share your details with anyone for their own purposes, and we do not use them for marketing.
REGION AND LANGUAGE
Cloudflare, which delivers this website, tells the site which country a connection comes from. We use that to suggest a region and a language, and to fill in your country in the funding calculator in advance, where you can change it. We do not store it. If you choose a region or a language, the site saves your choice in your browser's local storage, so that you need not choose again. This stays on your device, and it reaches Founds in two ways: when you send a form, which then carries the region with it, and in the web address (?region=) when you switch between founds.eu and founds.no, so that the other site knows your choice.
COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
This website sets no cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, not even in local storage, and according to Cloudflare it does not identify or follow individual visitors, and does not use fingerprinting.
For each page view it records the address of the page (without any query string), the page you came from, your country, the type of device, browser and operating system, and how fast the page loaded. We see only totals, never individual visitors.
Cloudflare processes this on our behalf, as our processor under its data processing agreement. It may process the data in the United States, which is covered by the EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Detailed data is kept for 7 days and after that only as a sample, and reports go back six months at most. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
HOSTING
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data, such as the IP address of your device, to deliver the site and protect it.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Email hi@founds.no and we will deal with it. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
